Etty Hillesum
Three days away from everything pulling at you. Yoga, guided reflection, and real conversation with women who get it — at a luxury lodge in Tennessee.

You arrived carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs. You leave carrying tools for your own.
Reconnect with Your Body
Daily yoga sessions led by Marina — every level welcome, modifications provided. No performance. No judgment. Just movement that wakes something up.
Get Honest with Yourself
Guided journaling and inquiry sessions that go deeper than you expect. Women consistently say this is where the breakthroughs happen.
Be Taken Care Of
Catered meals. A luxury lodge on a private Tennessee property. Decisions made for you. For once, you don’t have to think about what’s next.
Find Your People
Small group, intentionally intimate. By day two, strangers become the women who finally understand what you’ve been carrying.
Leave with Something Real
Not just a memory. Take-home practices for daily life and the clarity to have the conversations you’ve been putting off.
“When I realized I wasn’t just here to see Marina and work out and do yoga — I was really here to work on myself — that’s when things clicked. It was amazing how we could see each other and really build a community. If you’re on the fence, stop thinking about all of that. It’s worth it in a way that you really don’t understand until you’re here.”
Casey
“I came expecting to relax and enjoy some time alone from my wonderful family. And it far exceeded my expectations. I was able to awake to some of the things I’ve been telling myself about myself that aren’t true. I was given the tools to go back into my life and better myself and my family. If you’re on the fence, just do it. Don’t second guess it. It will grow you and it will push you — and you’ll make wonderful new friends.”
Lauren
“I didn’t really have any expectations coming. I was just excited to be with Marina and see what she was about. My aha moment was realizing that the past needs to stay in the past and it’s OK to forgive myself and move forward. It’s a really wonderful two days — you can really take a deep dive in a short period of time and you come out feeling refreshed and renewed.“
Tobi
“My expectation was to get deeper in my yoga practice. But I also needed some time for myself, and it provided that. My aha moment is that I’ve got a lot more things to discover inside myself and outside in the world. It’s a weekend that gives you the time to think, time to put everything else aside. Time to be vulnerable, time to connect with other people, and just time to breathe.“
Mary
“You think your problems are different than everyone else’s. What I learned is that we’re all struggling with the same things, and being vulnerable with this group of women was super meaningful. The things I didn’t expect were wonderful. I met some really great ladies. Marina’s amazing. I feel lighter as I leave. And that’s great.”
Theresa
“I was just looking for a shift, a change within myself and connection with others. Every time someone shared something, it hit home — I’m just like, wow, I am here too. From arriving Friday evening to now, I feel lighter and brighter. Whatever it is that you’re on the fence about, just don’t even think about it. It’s truly beautiful and amazing. I would do it again 10 times over.“
Micah
“I didn’t feel like I was being heard at home. When I began to burn what I was going to give up, that’s when I felt like I had made a step forward — I could just let God have it and hand it over. The mind shifts. The body shifts. I feel energized and ready to face those problems at home. I feel like I have the tools to continue to be renewed.“
Teresa
“By the second day, things became more clear — what I needed to do with my life, my husband, my family to bring that peace in. I came out of the retreat with real answers. A week later, I’m already having the conversations I’ve wanted to have.”
Erin
“I just finished Marina’s amazing Awaken and Flourish retreat, and it was exactly what I needed. We spent time in nature, practicing yoga, journaling, meditating, and diving into deep introspective work. The biggest ‘aha’ moment for me was the journaling—Marina’s questions pushed us deeper and deeper, making me confront things I hadn’t explored before.…I can’t wait to come back to another retreat!“
Sara
“I would say this retreat was refreshing and healing. There were beautiful yoga flows, but more than that, it was a time for sharing, journaling, and meditating. The memory I’m walking away with… is the realization of how much we all have in common. No matter our different backgrounds—our families, professions, and life experiences—we found so much unity in our shared journey.”
Jennifer R.
“If I could put this retreat in words, there are so many great things I would say. First and foremost—relaxing, rejuvenating. As a single, busy working mother, I didn’t have to think about anything for the weekend. Food was served, decisions were made for me, and that alone was such a blessing. Marina’s deep questioning… was like a spirit-filled therapy session in a safe, intimate setting.“
Danielle
“This weekend was very enlightening. I feel more emboldened to move forward in my life. The class discussions and inquiry sessions helped me find clarity that I can carry with me as I return home. The guided meditation and journaling were incredibly helpful, giving me the space to sit back, reflect, and take that clarity back with me.” This retreat was powerful and moving.“
Jennifer C.
“We had the opportunity to spend time for deep reflection, talking to others, and learning from one another. It created a great space where you can be alone, think through things, and be guided with questions that help you go deeper in your own thought process.…It also provides time to relax, breathe, and step away from the distractions of life.“

“If you’re searching for a breakthrough or a direction in your life, this [retreat] is something that you really should do… We don’t have to be perfect. So, this [message] is a hot mess express coming at you. But this is the beauty of that. That we just show up raw… And we open up our life and our ideas to God.”
Sara
“I was really nervous. I had a lot of self-doubt. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to practice at the same level as the other participants… And this entire weekend has really just been such a rebirth of myself. I’ve gained so much confidence in who I am as an individual, how I show up in a community of the incredible women that I got to spend the last two days with and also a really incredible yoga practice.”
Courtney
“I knew it would be amazing… I didn’t realize how much more it would be though. Besides yoga… it was just like, it was an aha moment, but it was also just a release. I didn’t expect to get the answer here. And I think that was just like huge.”
Nivedita
“[Marina] taught me this weekend to let my light shine and not to hide my voice and not to hide who I am. So if you’re looking for somewhere to come to find out who you really are and who you’re really meant to be and who God has designed you to be, say yes to the retreat.”
Stephanie
“I really badly wanted to say no to coming to this…and like talk myself out of it… but I don’t regret it at all. Like the first night that I came here, I was just like I’m so glad I said yes to this. I always joke with friends that going to her class is like going to yoga, Church, and therapy all in one and this was like all of that times a hundred because it was just all packed in one weekend.”

Marina Mukandala spent a decade building a yoga studio in New York — teaching thousands of students, training teachers, and pouring everything into a community she loved. Then she closed it, moved to Tennessee, and started over.
That move, and everything it took to make it, is exactly why she leads these retreats. Marina knows what it feels like to carry something heavy and still keep showing up. She knows what it takes to set some of it down.
With 17+ years of teaching experience and more than 27,000 students, Marina brings a rare combination: technical mastery and deep emotional presence. She meets you where you are, asks the questions that matter, and holds the space while you find your own answers.

Every Renew and Reclaim retreat includes all yoga and movement sessions (every level welcome, with modifications provided), guided morning reflection, evening community experiences, luxury lodge accommodations at a private Tennessee property, all meals (catered, with dietary needs accommodated), and take-home practices for daily life.
