“Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.” — Etty Hillesum

You arrive carrying the week. You leave lighter.

Four practices, one morning. Each one is here to meet you where you are — whether you’ve trained with Marina or Derek before, or you’re a steady practitioner ready to go a little deeper.

Reconnect with Your Practice A co-taught power vinyasa — physicality, breath-led, with options cued throughout. No performance, no judgment, just movement that wakes the body up.

Get Honest with Yourself The 30-minute open conversation block is where the real work happens. Bring the question you’ve been sitting with — about your practice, your teaching, the thing in your life you’re trying to move the needle on. Have a journal and pen handy.

Stay for the Conversation Capped at 20. Small, intentional, intimate. By the end, the people on your screen will feel less like strangers and more like a community.

Leave with Something Real Not just a memory. A practice, a few honest answers, and the replay for 48 hours.

One Saturday morning. Ninety minutes.

Derek in a balanced pose

Three blocks, one morning.

Built around the structure that’s always worked when Marina and Derek co-lead: ground in, move together, then talk honestly.

15 Minutes

Welcome & Meditation

Marina and Derek share who they are now (it’s been a minute), then a short grounding meditation to settle the room.

45 Minutes

Co-Taught Power Vinyasa

Physicality, breath-led, with options cued throughout. Bring water, a mat, and a strap or block if you have one.

30 Minutes

Open Conversation

Ask anything — the pose you can’t quite land, the teaching question you’ve been sitting with, the thing in your life you’re trying to move the needle on.

Marina Mukandala

Founder · Life with Marina

Marina spent nearly a decade building a yoga studio in New York — teaching thousands of students, training teachers, and pouring everything into a community she loved. Then it sadly went out of business in the pandemic, and she moved to Tennessee and started over.

That move, and everything it took to make it, is exactly why she still teaches the way she does. Marina knows what it feels like to carry something heavy and still keep showing up. She knows what it takes to set some of it down.

With 17+ years of teaching, 22 years of personal practice, training directly with Baron Baptiste, and more than 27,000 students taught, she brings a rare combination: technical mastery and deep emotional presence.

Derek Waddy

Co-Teacher · Longtime Friend & Collaborator

Derek is a graduate of Towson University and a former collegiate football player who has taught yoga since 2011. Initially hesitant — the practice didn’t match his preconceptions — the physical and mental benefits he experienced inspired him to share it with others. He has led yoga teacher trainings and retreats throughout the United States and abroad for over a decade, including sessions and seminars for athletes, working professionals, and youth, and has presented at the Yoga Journal conference in Florida.

The passion Derek has for encouraging people is contagious. He is known for his big smile and his sweaty, fun, challenging classes — you leave his presence feeling renewed, strengthened, and inspired. He and Marina taught together for years before life carried them in different directions. This Saturday is the first time they’ve taught together since — and the fact that it’s on Zoom just means you don’t need a plane ticket to be in the room.

Before you register.

Do I need to have trained with you to attend?

No. The workshop is open to anyone with a steady practice. Marina and Derek will cue options throughout so you can match your level. If you’ve trained with either of them before, you’ll recognize the format — but it’s built to welcome anyone.

What if I can’t make it live?

Everyone registered gets the replay for 48 hours, including the open Q&A block. You won’t miss anything by joining the recording.

Is this beginner-friendly?

It’s a power vinyasa — open to all levels of experience. Marina and Derek will cue options throughout so you can match your level.

How is this different from a regular class?

Two things: it’s co-taught (Marina and Derek together for the first time in five years), and it includes a 30-minute open conversation block at the end — the kind of space a regular class never makes for.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes — please have them register separately. Seats are capped at 20.

What’s the refund policy?

Full refund up to 48 hours before the workshop. After that, the replay still travels with you.

Will you do this again?

Never know what the future may hold. 🙂

If you’ve felt the nudge, that’s the answer.

Twenty seats. Ninety minutes. Marina, Derek, and the community you’ll remember.
